Lithium Battery Recycling Plant

Solution Introduction
The lifting system elevates the lithium batteries and transports them into a sealed buffer storage.The buffer storage is filled with nitrogen to reduce the oxygen concentration.Once the oxygen content falls below 5%, the valve opens.
Materials drop into a nitrogen-protected enclosed crushing system and are crushed into 30mm pieces.The crushed materials are discharged through a hopper.
An online monitoring system continuously measures the oxygen concentration to ensure the nitrogen protection system maintains protective standards.
The system acts as an active fire suppression system by maintaining the protective nitrogen atmosphere.If a fire occurs, the intelligent monitoring system triggers an immediate alarm.
The crushing system automatically stops, and system valves close to isolate the flames from air, preventing fire spread. Simultaneously, the carbon dioxide fire suppression system automatically activates to extinguish the fire at the ignition point.

Applications of the Output
Cobalt: Cobalt recovered from lithium batteries is extensively used in the manufacturing of new lithium-ion batteries. It's also used in the production of superalloys for aerospace applications, magnetic alloys, and hard metals.
Lithium: Lithium reclaimed from used batteries can be processed into lithium carbonate or lithium hydroxide, which are primary materials for producing new battery cells. Additionally, lithium is used in the pharmaceutical and glass industries.
Nickel: Nickel is another critical component of lithium batteries that can be recovered and used in the manufacturing of new batteries, stainless steel, and other alloys.
Copper: The copper from battery anodes can be recycled and used in electrical wiring, electronics, and various industrial machinery due to its excellent conductivity properties.
Aluminum: Aluminum from the battery casing is commonly recycled into new aluminum products, which are used in construction, packaging, and transportation sectors.
Plastics: Plastics recovered from battery casings can be recycled and used in the production of new plastic products, reducing the need for virgin plastic materials.
Electrolyte Solutions: Recovered electrolytes can be purified and reused in new battery cells or in other industrial applications.
Graphite: Graphite from the anodes can be reclaimed and reused in battery production or other applications such as lubricants or refractory materials.
Process Flow
1. Feeding System: A system that transports spent lithium-ion batteries to the crushing and sorting equipment.
2. Primary Shredding System: Used to crush spent lithium-ion batteries into smaller chunks.
3. Screening System: Screens the material after primary crushing to separate different sizes of particles. This helps in further processing and sorting.
4. Magnetic Separation System: Uses magnetic force to separate iron impurities from spent lithium-ion batteries for further processing.
5. Density Separation System: Separates metals from non-metals in spent lithium-ion batteries based on differences in density. This can be done through methods like air classification or liquid flotation.
6. Fine Crushing System: Further crushes the material after primary crushing to improve sorting efficiency.
7. Dust Collection System: Collects dust generated during the crushing and sorting process to ensure a clean and safe working environment.

Installation & Training
If necessary, we can send a technical team oversea to guide your installation and support you start up the line. Generally, including 2 mechanical engineer,1 electrician and 1 translator. It will take about 30-40 days to finish the installation in general. After installation, we will take charge of the single equipment debugging, whole line debugging, and test running with materials. We also provide clients with testing data reports of installation and operation for confirmation. We will ensure all the line can regularly run under the condition of full load before our technical team leave.
